We Believe there is One God

There is only one true and living God. He in essence is immutable and infinite and the Creator of all. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus is the Savior and the incarnate reality of God. He is the walking revelation of God’s love to humanity; He embodies grace; Jesus is one-hundred percent God and one-hundred percent man. He died on the cross for the redemption of God’s creation; He got up on the third day with all power in heaven and earth in His hands.

We Believe in Salvation

It is God’s saving grace. We believe the blessings of salvation are free to all through the Gospel; that the requisite of acceptance is thankful, penitent and obedient faith; and that nothing interferes with the salvation of the sinner except their refusal of the Gospel. Humankind’s disbelief or rejection of God is their condemnation.

We Believe in Water Baptism

The ordinance of baptism is a burial with Christ, to be observed, whenever physically possible as commanded in the Scripture by all who have repented and truly believed in their heart on Christ as Savior and Lord. The method of baptism will be by immersion in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. To declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. It is the circumcision of the heart by faith and through the working of the Spirit of God (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 10:47-48; Colossians 2:11-12; Acts 2:38).

We Believe in the Baptism of the Holy Ghost

The baptism of believers in the Holy Ghost is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in witnessing, public testimony and service in love (Acts 1:8, 2:4; 2:42-43; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9).

We Believe in the Virgin Birth

Mary, mother of Jesus, conceived him by the Holy Spirit. He is without sin. He was born of a virgin as no other man in the past or in the present can ever be born. He is both the Son of God and God the Son.

We Believe in The Lord’s Supper

Consisting of the elements, bread and the fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ, a memorial of His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming. It is enjoined on all believers “until He comes”. (John 6:48, 51, 53-57; Luke 22:19-20; I Corinthians 2:11-12).

We Believe in the Holy Scripture

The scripture is God’s word; it is His written authority for the Church. The scripture was given to ordinary men and women through inspiration; the scripture is correct in principle and infallible in content.

We Believe in the Church

The church is Christ’s bride and His body in which to witness to the world through word and sacrament. The church is a fellowship of regenerated men and women called out to live a godly life.

We Believe in Tithing

Both the Old and New Testament scriptures teach tithing as God’s financial plan for the support of His work (Malachi 3:8-10; I Corinthians 16:2; Genesis 2:22-23; Deuteronomy 26).

We Believe in Marriage between a Man and Woman

Those who God has directed shall be joined together after counseling with the Pastors regarding what God requires of them in a Christian marriage (II Corinthians 6:14) according to the original Biblical plan of God in Genesis 2: 21-24. God created both male and female. The man shall be joined to his wife and they shall become one flesh.

We Believe in Humanity

Humans were created in the image of God. He breathed His life into humans; humans voluntarily rebelled against God and fell from a state of protection, thereby experiencing separation from God. Consequently, all humans are sinners but, by choice, are redeemable through Jesus Christ who is our only hope to experience once again the peace of God. Justification is the pardoning of sin. The gift of eternal life displays God’s love for humankind; and by faith in the redemptive blood of Jesus Christ is His righteousness given to us.
