What’s Going On?

November 11 – Veteran’s Day.  Let us recognize the courage, selflessness, and sacrifices of military personnel.

Throughout the entire month of November, various library branches with host the Maryland Stem Festival with activities focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.  These activities are for persons of all ages.  For more information, go to www.prattlibrary.org  FREE!

November 12 – The Municipal Employees’ Credit Union (MECU) is offering a First Time Homebuyer’s Workshop at 7 East Redwood Street, 20th Floor.  If interested, you must register by November 10, 2015.  For more information, go to www.mecu.com  FREE!

November 20 – Port Discovery has Family Fun Night.  Admission is $2.00 per person.  For more information, go to www.portdiscovery.org

Through December 18 – Take advantage of half-price Friday nights at the National Aquarium.  For more info, go to www.aqua.org

November 20-21 – The Lyric Opera House presents Cirque Dreams Holidaze.  This is a new cirque show, Broadway musical, and family spectacular all in one with 300 costumes, 20 acts, and 30 artists.  For more info, go to www.lyricoperahouse.com

www.Coupons.com is a FREE resource, allowing people the option to print coupons for savings on brand name food and general-purpose items at any local grocery store.

www.suntopia.org/baltimore/md/food_pantries provides resources for FREE meals, groceries, and clothing.  It also provides assistance with utility bills and rent/mortgages.  Some information narrows down resources based upon zip code.
