Shaped In God’s Image – The Conclusion

Let us examine each one.

Our spiritual gifts are God’s grace to us. Not earned or deserve them, our gifts are for ministry.  A wasted or unopened gift is worthless. The heart is the source of our motivation and desires of what we care about most. God wants our heart. When we are doing what we love to do, no one has to motivate us.  Our abilities are our natural talents and come from God, used for his glory.  Our personality is what gives the church balance and flavor, affecting how we use our spiritual gifts and abilities. God showed this with his 12 disciples, each with a unique and different personality.  Experiences are how God wants to help others. This is our ministry. The very experiences we reserve and regret are the ones God wants to use.  We will have different experiences throughout our lives (family, education, spiritual walk, and ministry) including those painful experiences within our trials, hurts, tests and problems.

Using our SHAPE is the secret to fruitfulness/fulfillment in ministry. Nobody else can be us, so we must use our spiritual gifts/abilities from our hearts to express our personality and experiences. Our troubles/experiences will never be able to touch our destiny for we are a chosen people.  God chose us first; we are his children, shaped in his image. 1 Peter 4: 10 (AMP) declares “Just as each one of you has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of God’s multi-faceted grace.”
